Woman's Education Center founded
Adeeb's earliest exhibitions took place in Kabul the city where his artistic voice was first formed. At a time when Afghanistan was rebuilding, Adeeb used art as a language of hope, displaying his charcoal and pencil works to Afghan audiences who had rarely seen their own faces rendered with such dignity and care.
Peshawar became Adeeb's second home and the city where his mission grew beyond art. Alongside his exhibitions which portrayed Afghan women with dignity and strength he worked as an art teacher in Afghan schools and founded the Women's Education Center (WEC), providing Afghan women with access to art education and a platform to be seen and heard for the first time.
As his reputation grew, Adeeb brought his work to Islamabad reaching diplomats, journalists and international audiences who encountered Afghan art not through conflict, but through beauty. These years refined his technique and built a following that would follow him across the world.
Istanbul marked Adeeb's first step into the European and international art world. His exhibition in this great cultural crossroads introduced his charcoal and pastel works to an entirely new audience proving that Afghan art belonged on the world stage.
Every portrait Adeeb draws today carries the same thread — Kabul to Vienna, one pencil at a time.
